Feza Feza: In April of 2011, the Syrian government puts the city of Dara’a under siege …we have family there… no way to communicate with them…weeks later, the electricity and lights come back on…we eventually get through to relatives on the ground… compelled to sing their harrowing experiences… music as documentation... my father in-law chants, “Feza feza la Horan!” around the house… an expression of solidarity with his people that translates “Help, help for Horan!” - his home province in the southern Syria.
