ALL PROCEEDS FROM THE SALE OF THIS SINGLE WILL GO TO ZAKAT FOUNDATION OF AMERICA*, DIRECTLY HELPING THOSE WHO ARE SUFFERING UNDER THE REGIME OF BASHAR AL ASSAD.
Dylan Connor’s forthcoming album "Primitive Times" invites us into a spacious sonic world, guided by a compassion-filled voice and songwriting. In advance of its release in April 2012, singer-songwriter Dylan Connor has shared a live performance of a new protest song, 'Feza Feza', on Youtube here:

'Feza Feza' is rapidly reaching the people in Syria with over 4,000 hits on Youtube this week plus pages of comments from listeners. 'Feza Feza' (which means 'Help Help' in a dialect from southern Syria, where the protests first began) was recorded and shot in the space of 24 hours, after Dylan heard a Syrian activist interviewed on CNN say “When I chant freedom, I can hear my voice for the first time.”
Inspired by the reports from Syrian citizens under siege in their own towns and cities, DYLAN CONNOR is the first and only American artist to be writing and singing songs for Syria (He sings and speaks in Arabic in the video). Connor’s empathic voice for change in Syria echoes the sentiments of the strong, peaceful resistance of the recent Occupy Wall Street movement, which continues to reverberate around the world.
All proceeds generated from sale of this FUNDRAISING SINGLE ON BANDCAMP will raise funds for Syria via the Zakat Foundation of America as well as generally raising awareness of humanitarian crisis occurring in Syria right now.
Connor writes:
"The Syrian Regime of Bashar Al Assad has murdered over 4,000 of its own citizens since the start of the Syrian uprising 9 months ago. November was the deadliest month to date, and just today I read of over 30 bodies being dumped on the street by the Shabiha (armed thugs loyal to the regime) in the city of Homs. So much help is needed as the humanitarian crisis grows: medical supplies for the wounded, food for refugees, money for the families who have lost their bread winners, toys for children who have been tortured
and are forever scarred."
